Patricia “Patty” Webb Fox (OLV 1975) is RCS’s featured alumna. Not only is Patty a proud graduate of OLV, but so is her husband, Henry Fox (OLV 1973). They are active parishioners of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Patty and Henry have three children– Allison Fox Pace (RCS 2002), Andrew Walker Fox (RCS 2004), and Adam Matthew Fox (RCS 2009)–and three grandchildren who are also being educated in Catholic schools, steeping the Fox family in Catholic education for generations. In fact, Patty felt so strongly about Catholic education that she chose to send all of her children to Resurrection as well, stating, “The atmosphere was one that gave students security, compassion, and a strong sense of belonging to an extended family . . . this made me want to provide for my children these same experiences.” Patty and her husband believe that Catholic education was a privilege that they wanted to give their own children, and they considered it to be an investment in their their future.
After Patty graduated from OLV in 1975, she worked at the Ingalls Employee Credit Union (now Navigator Credit Union) for 22 years. In 1998, she joined the staff at Resurrection Elementary School as a teacher assistant and has worked at Resurrection ever since then. She was fortunate to be able to serve the RCS community by working with her OLV classmates Barbara Coley Colville (OLV 1975), Sissy Lovorn Zelenka (OLV 1976), Eileen Murphy Panter (OLV 1976) and Dawn Berteau Ezell (OLV 1977). Countless children and their families have benefited tremendously from Patty’s tireless dedication and years of service to RCS!
Patty has many fond memories of her time spent at OLV/Resurrection. She can remember celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in honor of Fr. Quinn by learning Irish songs and jigs, and she and her colleagues later planned similar celebrations in honor of Fr. Mike Kelleher. Patty feels like she has had a unique opportunity and privilege to have been a student, parent, and teacher in the RCS community, and we at Resurrection have been blessed many times over by her being a member of our school family!
