Jessie Bardwell Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship application is now available and can be picked up in the office of the First Methodist Church in Pascagoula. The church is located on Pascagoula Street. The deadline for application submittal is April 30, 2020.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________TThe Young Women in Public Affairs Award has a possibility of Three Awards. One from our local club which is the Zonta Club of Pascagoula Area of $1000.00, the District/regional Award of $1500.00 and ten international recipients are selected from the District/ regional recipients to receive an additional award of $4000.00 each.
The application is located on Zonta International Website www.zonta.org go to foundation scholarship, our program, educational program, then scroll down to ywpa application. You must apply through our local club. Email completed application to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to Zonta Club of Pascagoula, P O Box 1842, Pascagoula, Ms. 39568. Our club will then forward the winner to District/regional for the decision to forward to International for the final award. You can Print the application or fill it out on line.
This Award is TIME sensitive and must get to our local club by March 30, 2020.
The student must be a graduating senior residing in Harrison or Jackson County.
2. The student must score a minimum of 21 on the ACT and have a 3.0 GPA at the time of application submission.
3. The student must plan to attend and subsequently enroll in an accredited college or university in the State of Mississippi or at the University of South Alabama.
4. The student must demonstrate his or her eligibility for the scholarship by completing the attached application.
Did you know that Sallie Mae also offers scholarships? Bridging the Dream is an excellent chance for a young student to pay for their college. It is a $25,000 scholarship and could change someone’s life. Both juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. The application window is short!
