Welcome to Resurrection Catholic School!

Resurrection Catholic School, located in Pascagoula, MS and the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi, is a coeducational private school serving students grades Kindergarten through 12th, as well as Preschool for ages 2-4. RCS is housed on two campuses, Elementary and Middle/High School and is home to a diverse makeup of over 400 students. We offer a challenging, enriching curriculum designed to inspire academic excellence, while also instilling the values of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.
For over 140 years, RCS has been a shining example of Catholic education. Our focus on Faith has inspired generations of students who have gone on to become pillars of our community and who continue to spread the values learned during their years as a student here. The students at Resurrection Catholic School are a part of a family and we would love for you to join us!
Resurrection Catholic School is accredited by the State Department of Mississippi and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/AdvanceED. We are also members of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA).

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students reach their full potential as educated, caring, responsible Catholic Christians who are prepared to meet the challenges of a changing society.

Our Motto

Be it known to all who enter here that Jesus is the reason for this school. He is the unseen ever-present teacher in all its classes. He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students.

Our Beliefs

  • In partnership with home, parish, and community, students are taught Christian attitudes and values in order to develop a moral, ethical, and spiritual foundation for making appropriate choices.
  • Students need an orderly, purposeful, caring atmosphere which is free from the threat of physical harm and conducive to teaching and learning.
  • All students can learn, and each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
  • Clear goals, and high expectations for student achievement guide the development of the curriculum and the design of instructional strategies and learning activities.
  • Students need academic and technological skills necessary for contemporary society, but should also develop inquiring minds and critical thinking skills to adapt to change.
  • Curriculum and instructional practices should incorporate a variety of learning activities and assessment techniques to accommodate differences in learning styles.
