We can wholeheartedly say that the beginning of this school year has been a success.  With hundreds of service hours completed over the summer by our students and parent/staff volunteers, we were able to clean and brighten our schools.  Without this help, it would not have been possible.  Visitors are smiling while walking down the halls, kids are showing great school spirit, and teachers are enthusiastically teaching in their classrooms.    Campus Ministry is very present with words of encouragement every morning while planning retreats for all grades.

Yet, our challenges are still here.  As many of you know, we removed termites and termite damage from Carey Hall at the RCMHS campus this summer.  The part of Carey Hall that was most damaged was our library, staircase, and hallway leading to our library.  So far, we have spent $16,891 on termite removal and repairs.  At this point, we have stopped renovations due to lack of funding.  We need a library, and we need your help!  We have formed a new organization to spearhead our efforts.  Our first meeting is September 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the RCMHS teacher workroom located near the front office in Carey Hall.

If you are interested in being a part of this group that will restore our library, please attend the meeting or email ccunningham@rcseagles.com.  All are welcome: parents, grandparents, students, and community members.  Let’s put back together the place that has the potential to be a beautiful space that fosters a love of reading and research.
