Backpack Buddies of Pascagoula is an organization that provides food for students who may not get enough to eat at home during the weekends and holidays when away from school. After COVID, RCS seniors were looking for a new service project and Backpack Buddies was the perfect fit. Senior Religion students pack close to 200 bags of food each week and distribute them to 11 schools across the Pascagoula Gautier School District. This year, we have relocated the food pantry to the Middle High School campus which makes this process much more efficient for our students. Thank you to Maria Walden and Kim Duffy for overseeing this service project and thank you to the senior class for helping to provide this service to our community!
