If you were on the elementary campus for the first day of school, you probably noticed all of the signs, balloons and photo ops that were there to greet the kids! Well you can thank the hardworking volunteers of the RCS PTO for helping to bring so much joy to the students, parents and teachers!

The RCS PTO is made up of parent and teacher volunteers whose main goal is to work together to supplement and enrich the educational experience for our children. According to PTO Board President Ashlee Cole, “The best part of being on the PTO is directly contributing to the school by fundraising and by building unity through school events and programs.”

The PTO Board is currently hard at work planning the Homecoming Block Party and on one of the years biggest fundraisers, the RCS Drawdown. The annual Drawdown event will be held on Saturday, October 15th and this year’s theme will be Parent Prom: Eagles in the 80’s! They are expecting a great turnout, great fundraising potential and a really fun time! The PTO is looking for eager volunteers to assist in the planning and execution of these awesome events and is always looking for fresh ideas and feedback! They would love to have you on board!

If you are interested in volunteering with the PTO or joining the PTO Board, you can contact Ashlee Cole at ashleecolehudson@gmail.com. The PTO also hosts a board member social on the second Monday of every month at 5:30 at The Courtyard Downtown. They welcome you to stop in and see what projects they are working on and to get a taste of the PTO!
