Kristal Sisson- Middle/High School Principal, Director of Schools
Mrs. Kristal Kennedy Sisson serves as both the Resurrection Catholic Middle/High School Principal and Resurrection Catholic School Director of Schools. Mrs. Sisson has been an educator for 31 years. Mrs. Sisson earned both her Bachelors and Master’s degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Sisson has served as Principal of RCMHS and Director of Schools since 2020. She and her family are active members of Our Lady of Victories Parish in Pascagoula. “Catholic education is the ultimate tool for evangelization. I am honored to serve Jesus in my role as RCMHS Principal. Every day, we focus on forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ, and I am blessed and humbled to have this opportunity to serve Him as RCS Principal.”
Nanette Whitehead- Elementary School Principal
Mrs. Nannette Whitehead has 30 years’ experience in education and just completed her first year as Principal of Resurrection Catholic Elementary School. Her career prior to joining the RCS team included serving for 9 years as Principal in the Jackson County School District at St. Martin East Elementary. She is a National Board-Certified teacher and possesses a Master’s Degree in Science Education and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi. Nannette is originally from Moss Point, where she grew up attending St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is currently a member of Sacred Heart in D’Iberville. Nannette and her husband, Wayne, have two children, Sophie and Easton. “It is an honor to serve the families of Resurrection Catholic Elementary school. I understand the sacrifices many families make in order to provide their children with a Catholic education. As Principal, I look forward to continuing the traditions of RCES by promoting high moral values, building healthy social relationships, and incorporating an expectation of academic excellence.”
