Emersyn Grace and Drew Johnson Named MSU Lucky Day Scholars!
March 12, 2025Mrs. Danielle Guardia was named the 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year at Resurrection Catholic Middle High School!
Mrs. Guardia earned her associate’s degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she served as Secretary of Sigma Tau Delta and worked in the Writing Lab. She has been married to Ryan Guardia for 13 years, and together they have two sons: Noah (12) and Nick (7). In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time on the water. Some of her favorite places to visit include Petit Bois Island and Key West.
Mrs. Guardia cherishes the unity and close-knit spirit of the RCS family. She says, “I am able to teach my students academically while also nurturing them spiritually. All of you feel like my own children!”
Currently, her favorite novel is The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn, which she loves for the way its writing evolves in depth and complexity as the protagonists grow older.
Her favorite subject to teach is American Literature. She finds it fascinating to explore American society and culture through the works of literary icons like Ernest Hemingway, Zora Neale Hurston, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Arthur Miller.
Mrs. Guardia’s favorite Bible verse is:
“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
We are truly grateful for Mrs. Danielle Guardia. She is deeply loved and appreciated at RCS—not only for her kindness and dedication, but also for the joy and wisdom she brings to our school community.
Congratulations, Mrs. Guardia!
