Head Coach Aron Frederic Retires from RCS Baseball

After 17 years of coaching, Head Coach Aron Frederic is retiring from RCS Baseball. Coach Frederic spent his first 8 years coaching as an Assistant Coach at Pascagoula High School before coming to Resurrection. He served as an Assistant Coach at RCS for 7 years before becoming the Head Coach of the Eagles, taking over for the late Coach Lee Tingle.
Frederic led the Eagles to the 2023 State Championship, where the Eagles repeated as State Champs. Coach Frederic says his favorite part of being a coach was watching his players grow. He also enjoyed being able to have coached his son, Walker Frederic. “It’s been a joy to coach for so long, and especially to see this group of boys through high school after coaching them for so many years”, says Frederic.  “I appreciate my time with RCS. I have enjoyed the time and efforts spent with other coaches and friends, building Lee Tingle Park up to what it is today and growing the baseball program.”
Coach Frederic has had a lasting impact in the lives of his former players. Luke Schnoor, RCS Class of 2024, said, “Coach Fred’s impact went far beyond the baseball diamond. He instilled invaluable life lessons in discipline, resilience and integrity that turned us into a true brotherhood. The grueling practices, clutch party bus moments, and team building, six hour long after game speeches were an investment in our characters as much as our skills. Coach Fred molded us into men of character, ready to make our mark on the world. For everything he’s done, we are eternally grateful to have played for such an exceptional leader and mentor.”
Fellow Class of 2024 graduate, Trace Tingle, said, “Coach Aron has taught me so much more than just the game of baseball, and I will forever be thankful for the relationship I have built with him over the 10 plus years of him coaching me. He is a huge reason why the RCS baseball program turned around and won 2 State Championships.”
RCMHS Principal Kristal Sisson stated, “Coach Frederic is a blessing for our Eagle family! He has played a huge part in the success of our baseball program. I appreciate his excellent leadership and his devotion to our beloved RCS. We will definitely miss him.” RCMHS Athletic Director Eric Denmark added:, “Coach Frederic is an excellent coach who gave his all to Eagle baseball during some very difficult times, with the loss of Coach Tingle and recent passing of his father, Gene Frederic. We appreciate him and his dedication. Coach Frederic was the perfect choice to continue the legacy of baseball excellence. We wish him the very best!”
Resurrection Catholic School would like to thank Coach Frederic for all he has done for not only our baseball program, but the impact he has made on every one of the boys he has coached. We wish him well in this new chapter of his life and will forever cherish his time with us. Thanks Coach!
