The Millette Family

On May 19th, 2020, at the Resurrection Catholic High School Graduation Mass and Ceremony, Father Adam Urbaniak, pastor of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, presented Kristal Sisson, Resurrection Catholic Middle/High School Principal, with a $100,000.00 check.  Shortly thereafter, Father Everardo Morra-Torres, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, presented Mrs. Sisson with an additional $100,000.00 check.  The donations came from Mr. Mark Millette, who donated to both Our Lady of Victories and Sacred Heart parishes.  Father Adam Urbaniak and Father Mora-Torres then donated a portion of the generous gift to Resurrection Catholic School.  Resurrection Catholic School and Father Adam Urbaniak invited Mr. Mark Millette’s family to the graduation Mass and ceremony to thank them for the generous donation.  Mr. Stephen Burrow, along with family members Gayle Millette, Dr. Terry Millette, Evan Burrow, Elizabeth Burrow, Mary Burrow, and Lesley Millette Sutherland attended on behalf of the Mark Millette family.  Stephen Burrow, brother of Mark Millette, stated, “Mark always had fond memories of his days at Sacred Heart Elementary and OLV Middle School. He would have been glad to support the school, but humble enough not to expect gratitude. Mark was quietly generous and always willing to help those in need.”  When asked where the donations will be used, RCS Principal, Kristal Sisson, said, “Mr. Mark Millette’s generous gifts will be allocated to debt relief and ‘matched’ by the Diocese of Biloxi through Bishop Kihneman’s Debt Relief Challenge.” Father Adam Urbaniak added, “Resurrection Catholic School remains an important part of our Catholic community in Pascagoula.  With this donation, we invest in our future, which lies in our youth – they are the future parishes, our city, and our society.  We will continue to pray and work hard to make Jesus known to them and provide them with the best opportunities for our tomorrow.”
